    Jason

    “It takes a lot of beer to make great wine…”

    Jason started Mercenary in 2018 after more than 10 years making award-winning wines throughout Napa Valley and the Central Coast. After ending many nights with ‘a hose in one hand and a beer in the other’, he set about finding a way to work with the many small craft producers that he’d come to know and love. Now, 5 years later, Mercenary supports over 80 craft beverage producers throughout California, and you’d better believe he’s just getting started.

    When he’s not working (which does happen on occasion!) Jason loves getting out on one of his bikes to enjoy what the Central Coast has to offer, and spending time with his wife and two kids.

    Skyler

    Skyler, our resident local legend, has been crushing it in the craft beer industry right here on the Central Coast for over 8 years. He’s worked his way up from bartender to sales manager, then again from brewer to production manager, and taken home a few things to brag about from GABF and World Beer Cup along the way. Since joining Mercenary in 2021, Skyler has used his diverse experience and insightful perspective to manage and optimize our packaging processes so that your product gets the attention and care it deserves.

    Outside of work, Skyler loves skateboarding and getting outdoors with family and friends.

    Nick

    If you have seen our trailers out in the wild, you have probably met Nick, who has been running and optimizing our mobile lines for 2 years. Always keeping it cool in challenging situations, he made the jump from a career as a chef to California’s craft beer scene after discovering a passion for home brewing (now running 15 years strong!). After 4 years of brewing professionally, Nick joined the Mercenary family and uses his knowledge to ensure that your cans come off the line clean, fresh, and tasting great.

    During his down time, Nick enjoys traveling–he’s been to 46 countries and counting! When he’s not jet-setting around the world, he loves fishing, keeping his cooking skills sharp, and of course, home brewing with the best of 'em.
